Wee Weekend Round Up’s are Rachel’s favorite because it reminds her of all the events she doesn’t know about because she doesn’t have any friends other than Merilla. So this is her way of learning what’s happening around campus. If you relate to any of this, then check out what’s happening around Tufts this weekend!
Theta Chi Re-Presents: The Big Red Barn Party (Fri. 10/7, 10:30 p.m., Theta Chi)
From the event page: After a summer of weed whackin’ and deciphering crop circles, the farmhands of Theta Chi are re-throwing their annual barn-raising bash.
Whether you’re a WWOOFer or more of a Monsanto factory farm type, get excited to see all of the hay bales, corn mazes, scarecrows, and other common farm objects that might or might not be in the basement of our barn/fraternity house. Farmers markets, farm stands, and farm shares have little, or everything, to do with this free range party.
Show up wearing your favorite barn yard gear on #flannelfridayii and remember: valid Tufts ID required for entry. Doors open at 10:30pm.
This party is in compliance with OFSL policies and IFC rules and regulations.
Old Tony Monaco had a farm e-i-e-i-o. And on this farm he really cool brothers in Theta Chi, e-i-e-i-o. New Tufts fight song? I think yes.
DIY Dorm Decod: Sustainable Succulents (Mon. 10/10, 3:00 p.m., Hill Hall Lounge)
From the event page: Join the Area 1 Eco-Reps for an afternoon full of succulent planting, leaf crafting, and other autumnal creations! Danish Pastry House will be providing snacks for the event; come see how easy it is to make for yourself what you would otherwise pick out of the dollar bin at Target.
Yes succulents…my cacti, Luke and Wifey, need a new friend.
To be honest this is all that’s on my radar this weekend. Also, I can only handle two events over a three-day break period. So I hope this is sufficient enough for y’all! If not, just look at last week’s Weekend Round Up, and dream of better days.
