Wednesday Weekend Roundup

We’re nearing the end of the semester, and there are tons of fun, exciting events happening on campus from a variety of different groups. Here’s a round up of some of the events going on at Tufts this weekend:

Richard III

April 14 – 18, 8pm, Balch Arena Theatre

Tickets available at the Aidekman Box Office

Tufts University Department of Drama and Dance presents Richard III. Adapted and directed by Gibson Cima. Written by William Shakespeare.

In 2012, researchers at the University of Leicester stunned the world by announcing the discovery of the remains of King Richard III under an office parking lot. In light of new information uncovered as a result of this discovery, the 500 year-old play Richard III, is ripe for reinterpretation. Come join us for this energetic ensemble production that plays against the Tudor propaganda of Shakespeare’s script, questioning the narratives of power that rewrite history to suit their own ends.
