Netflix is awesome for so many reasons. It enables internet addiction and binge watching tendencies. It also has a ton of terrible ABC Family and Disney Channel Original Movies. Stanley Kubrick’s classic starring Peter Sellers remains as hilarious and relevant as it was in the 1960s. It’s always pleasure to watch this satire on the Cold War, and the idiots who run the world.
Yet another classic, but of the animated variety: The Aristocats remains one of the best Disney movies. Sweet and funny, this movie will fill you with nostalgia and appreciation for childhood.
You are guaranteed to enjoy this comedy classic, but watching it now comes with a level of poignancy in light of writer and co-star Harold Ramis’s recent death.
Every decade in modern history has the perfect teen movie, and Clueless is that movie of the 1990s. It’s super funny and quotable, with the added bonus of young and sexy Paul Rudd.
Before the franchise got bloated and crazy, there was the first movie. It’s been a little over a decade since it came out now, but the first POTC remains endlessly entertaining, thanks to a brilliant Johnny Depp.
Netflix has a couple of John Hughes classics, including The Breakfast Club, but absolutely nothing beats Ferris Bueller. This movie will make you want to cut class every day, crash cars, and sing in parades.
This Oscar-winner is dark, hilarious, and gruesome. One of the best offerings by the Coen brothers directorial team, and guaranteed to entertain.
Probably one of the saddest romantic films of all time, and yet also one of the best. If you’re depressed about life and need something to cry over with ice cream, this is the movie for you.
If you’re addicted to “House of Cards” on Netflix, check out this movie, starring Kevin Spacey. It’s weird, it’s confusing, but it’s very awesome.
I had to watch this movie in my Italian class in high school a few years ago, and it’s just amazing. This Oscar-winner is absolutely beautiful.
